Kyoto Societal Architecture

Kyoto is an interesting and quiet city that has equally interesting and quiet people. The outer city streets are a gold mine of amazing finds and beautiful shrines. It’s a place you could get lost in and just bask in the calming aura of the old homes around town. When you need more civilization around you, there are cityscapes with modern shops and restaurants to get your bearings again.

It’s the perfect marriage of old and brand new.

A quaint town sprawling with beautiful decades-old buildings and homes is something that rubs off on the locals. I noticed many elderly individuals, whether they were pedestrians, shop owners, or workers. There is an immense beauty in the pacing of the city of Kyoto. The pottery shops, the restaurants with old Japanese façades, the silent temples scattered around the tight streets are all little elements of Kyoto that one who wishes to see the world for all its treasures will appreciate.

Hiking up the hills and seeing all the amazing gems the streets have to offer is a breath of fresh air from the usual Manila messiness. Calmness surrounds you with each turn, and getting lost is a blessing for the most part. There is an aura of peacefulness around Kyoto, and the atmosphere around the place brings bliss.

An old town is for old souls, and the love for the outer city is something appreciated by a few people.
