Osaka Societal Architecture

Societal Architecture exists in every place on earth. Each city, borough, town, or village is unique in the way they interact with one another and how they react to the forces that surround them. This time, we explore Osaka’s Societal Architecture to see what Osaka looks like from an observer’s eye.

OSAKA, JAPAN

Osaka is a slower-paced version of Tokyo. The societal architecture shows more patience from the locals towards tourists. Still, the Japanese keep their silence most times, and continue to go about their days preferably unnoticed. No one stops to chat like they do at home, very rarely do people laugh and smile at things they see while walking or traveling.

However, it’s visible that they do hold respect with high regard, as they always bow and act with selflessness. With this, I believe black and white is the correct photography medium for this place, as their actions are all done with intent, and this medium shows intent very well if done right. It creates a great match with the street photography niche, as it maintains the mystery and austerity of the Japanese people as they go about with their days.
