HOMOLOGOUS

My portfolio is titled “Homologous Gray Matter”

Homologous in Biology terms means similar in evolution, but with different functions. I believe creatives like me are all cut from the same cloth, as we get our inspiration and passion from standing on the shoulders of the giants who preceded us. However, it differs in the sense that our personal identities and experiences throughout our lives change our styles and perspectives of art.

In my case, I believe in the mix of knowledge of sciences, literature, and arts when I take my photos. I believe there is always something to dissect with a photo after I take one, and I love to accompany them with a little bit of text. The image styles I have are highly inspired by great portrait and history photographers like Robert Capa and Annie Leibowitz, as well as mysterious and negative space paintings of Edward Hopper.

My style is derived from the styles of others, but the homologation is that it was developed based on things I personally love, and all of the wins and losses of my life poured into each image. Now, please take time to ponder my photography portfolio, accompanied by some literature.
